“I’ve always been inspired by Céline Dion, and her music has been a guiding light for me through many challenges in my life. Seeing her sing ‘Who I Am’ with such strength and resilience, despite everything she’s facing, was a moment I’ll never forget. I still get emotional just thinking about it.”

—Wyn Starks

Wyn Starks breathes new life into a timeless classic with his rendition of I Drove All Night" (Curb Records). Written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly in 1987, the track has been recorded by greats like Roy Orbison, Cyndi Lauper, and Celine Dion, whose version inspired Starks’ tribute. Released with an accompanying video in September 2024, Starks’ soulful spin on the song resonated instantly, racking up more than 600,000 YouTube views in its first weeks and showcasing his ability to honor the original while making it uniquely his own.

The project also carries a deeply personal connection to Starks’ musical journey. Earlier in 2024, Celine Dion released her moving documentary I Am: Celine Dion on Amazon Prime, where she was seen singing along to Starks’ breakout 2020 anthem “Who I Am” during her treatment for Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS). For Starks, who has long cited Dion as a guiding influence, the moment was life-changing. His take on “I Drove All Night” stands as both a tribute to her artistry and a reflection of the resilience and inspiration she embodies.

Wyn Starks is a rising pop and soul artist known for blending R&B, gospel, and contemporary pop into an uplifting, timeless sound. Since debuting with Black Is Golden in 2020, he has captivated audiences with his powerhouse vocals and authentic storytelling, including his standout performances on America’s Got Talent. Balancing time on tour with Delta Rae while working on his sophomore album, Starks continues to push creative boundaries, fusing heartfelt emotion with undeniable energy.
