GRAMMY® Nominee Omah Lay Finds His CLARITY OF MIND

“A borderless force in global music” —Clash
GRAMMY®-nominated Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Omah Lay is back with Clarity of Mind, his long-awaited second album, released on Sire Records/Warner Records. Four years after Boy Alone, he's taking listeners deeper into his world, exploring everything from love and loneliness to spirituality, success and finding peace within himself. Known for blending Afrobeats with R&B, soul and his own distinctive style of Afro-fusion, Omah expands his sound with electronic and alternative influences while keeping the emotional honesty that first connected him with fans. This is an artist who's not afraid to share what he's going through, even when the feelings are complicated. And on Clarity of Mind, he's learning that understanding yourself doesn't necessarily mean having all the answers.
The album's focus track, “I AM,” is a powerful statement of identity, with Omah reflecting on confidence, temptation and the challenges that come with success. Its hypnotic, almost meditative rhythm reinforces the idea of accepting yourself, flaws and all. “JULIA” brings electronic influences into a story about feeling alone even when surrounded by people, while “CANADA BREEZE” explores personal growth, spirituality and the freedom that comes with knowing who you are. On “DON'T LOVE ME,” he examines the complicated side of desire and emotional distance, while “HOLY GHOST” brings faith and inner conflict into the conversation. “WAIST” adds another dimension to the album's musical range. Ahead of the release, Omah introduced the project through a series of intimate underground gatherings called Spiritual Raves in cities including Berlin and Amsterdam, giving fans an opportunity to experience the music in a setting that reflected its deeply personal themes.
Born Stanley Omah Didia, Omah Lay grew up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where he began making music as a teenager and eventually established himself as a producer before stepping into the spotlight as a singer. His 2020 EP Get Layd introduced his distinctive voice and emotionally driven songwriting to an international audience, followed by his debut album Boy Alone in 2022, which featured a collaboration with Justin Bieber. Since then, he's worked with artists including Davido, Kehlani, Tems, Tyla, Ozuna and Myke Towers, earning a GRAMMY® nomination alongside Davido for their collaboration “With You.” Through it all, Omah has continued to build a career around music that feels personal and honest. With Clarity of Mind, he's embracing both the strengths and imperfections that make him who he is, reminding us that finding peace is often a journey rather than a destination.
