“An icon-in-waiting no more, she’s ready for her moment”

—Rolling Stone

Madison Beer has always had a knack for making polished pop feel deeply personal, and on locket, she brings those two sides of her music closer together than ever. Written and co-produced by Beer, the album is her most exciting, visceral collection of songs to date and firmly plants the flag as one of the marquee pop records to rule 2026. The album takes its name from the idea of a locket as a place to keep memories. An appropriate image for songs that revisit desire, relationships and the things we carry with us long after a moment has passed. “Bittersweet,” a breakout moment for Beer, lives right in that emotional push and pull, while “bad enough” turns romantic uncertainty into the kind of pop song that feels immediately relatable. Then there’s “yes baby,” which shifts the energy toward something more confident and playful, giving locket plenty of movement without losing the emotional thread connecting its songs.

Released last September, "yes baby" built on the momentum of Beer's 2024 Grammy-nominated song "make you mine." Inspired by that track, "yes baby" flirts, flexes, and commands attention from the very first beat. It's a song that ricochets out of your speakers with undeniable urgency, moving Beer's sonic journey forward.

"bittersweet" showed another side of Beer's artistry, connecting with listeners through its emotional honesty and relatable storytelling. She brought the song to life with memorable iconic performances at the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. Beer explains, "bittersweet is about the end of a chapter and the difficulty of coming to terms with it, while also recognizing that deep down you know it's for the best—and finding peace in that along the journey."

Debuting with the release of locket, the music video for "bad enough" gives the song's complicated romance a darkly playful twist. Directed by Beer, the horror-inspired striking visual casts her opposite a larger-than-life monster, capturing the pull of someone she knows is wrong for her.

Two-time GRAMMY®-nominated singer, songwriter and producer Madison Beer has grown from a young artist finding her place in pop into one increasingly involved in shaping the music that bears her name. Her debut album, Life Support, established a more personal and self-directed chapter in her career, followed by Silence Between Songs, which earned her first GRAMMY® nomination. “make you mine” subsequently brought her a second nomination, this time for Best Dance Pop Recording, setting the stage for the next evolution of her sound. With locket, Beer continues that progression as both a songwriter and producer, further cementing her spot at the top of the pop stratosphere.
