“Reyez is a true trailblazer in both Canada and beyond”

—BILLBOARD

Jessie Reyez is gorgeous, talented, funny as hell, and clearly doesn't take herself too seriously. She's just as comfortable looking glamorous as she is cracking jokes or telling the world exactly how she feels. And that's part of what makes her so much fun to watch. She's got a great sense of humor, absolutely no filter and a voice that can go from a whisper to a full-on sexy in seconds. On her latest album featuring superstars Ty Dolla$ign, Muni Long, D Smoke, Lekan and RAAHiiM, A Little Vengeance (FMLY/Island Records) brings all of that personality to the music, mixing heartbreak, attitude, humor and a little revenge into songs that feel like conversations with your most outspoken girlfriend.

The album's standout tracks show just how well Reyez balances attitude with emotion. On “AIN'T U TIRED?”, featuring Muni Long, she questions the exhaustion of a relationship that keeps going in circles. “99%” finds Jessie at the end of her patience, while “DUSTY,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, takes aim at someone who doesn't deserve another minute of her time. “Salt” adds another layer to the album's relationship drama, while “UR Heartbeat (Who Do You Think About at 2 AM)” gets into those late-night thoughts that can keep you wondering about someone long after you should have moved on. Throughout the album, Jessie moves easily between vulnerability, sarcasm and straight-up honesty, reminding us that sometimes the best way to deal with a broken heart is to laugh about it, cry about it or write a really good song about it. Jessie Reyez shares about the album, “Just a PSA, this album is not a sign for you to message your ex. If you are going through something, this is a sign for you to MOURN it properly so that you do not go back and try and save the dead. You can miss something and still leave it tf alone. If in the event that your ex was nice and youuuu were the person in the wrong and this triggers you to hit your ex, then maybe yes, then maybe it is a sign. But only if you’ve done self inventory and learnt the lesson and are ready to apologize for whatever fuck shit you did. Otherwise, just vibe, cry and leave ppl alone. Alright. That is all. Love yessie"

GRAMMY® and six-time JUNO Award winner Jessie Reyez was born in Toronto to Colombian parents and has established herself as one of R&B's most distinctive voices, blending soul, pop and hip-hop with songwriting that rarely holds anything back. From her breakout single “Figures” and early EPs Kiddo and Being Human in Public to albums including Before Love Came to Kill Us, Yessie and Paid in Memories, she's built a career around telling her own stories, even when they're uncomfortable. Her expressive vocals and emotional honesty have also made her a sought-after collaborator. Beyond music, Reyez is launching the Jessie Reyez Fund in partnership with PLUS1, a nonprofit that helps artists mobilize their communities for meaningful change. The fund aims to create more opportunities in the music industry for women and historically underrepresented communities, while supporting music education, well-being, cultural connection and preservation in underserved communities. With A Little Vengeance, Reyez continues to explore the complicated side of love with humor, honesty and a healthy dose of attitude. And whether she's making music, making people laugh or making a difference, Jessie Reyez is doing it all on her own terms.
