"Tobe is the future because he is self-produced, self-directed... the concepts are his. He turns out music and art so quickly."

—Erykah Badu

GRAMMY®-nominated artist Tobe Nwigwe has always found ways to connect music, family, and culture, and his latest album, The Bridge, released October 9, brings those worlds even closer. The featured songs, up for GRAMMY® consideration this year, begin with “All or Nothing,” featuring Labrinth. Tobe explores love, belonging and the importance of showing up for the people who depend on us. “Perfection,” featuring Nigerian music icon Flavour, soul singer C.S. Armstrong and producer Tierce “Kizzo,” takes a thoughtful look at finding beauty in imperfection. The song brings together Nigerian highlife, soul and hip-hop, reflecting Tobe's Houston upbringing and Nigerian heritage. Even the artwork tells a personal story, featuring his mother wearing a gold grill that connects the traditions of both cultures. Like “Disguise,” these songs show Tobe's ability to make deeply personal music that speaks to something bigger than himself.

Meanwhile, Fat Nwigwe is stepping into the spotlight with “QUEEN,” her debut solo single. After years of performing and creating alongside her husband, Fat delivers a confident, hard-hitting track about motherhood, ambition and knowing your worth. With sharp lyrics and bold production, she challenges the expectations placed on women, particularly mothers, and makes it clear that raising a family doesn't mean putting your own dreams aside. As a mother of five, she's speaking from experience, and that gives the song an authenticity that's hard to miss. It's a strong introduction to Fat as a solo artist and a reminder that the creative partnership behind the Nwigwe family has always been a two-way street.

Tobe Nwigwe is a GRAMMY®-nominated rapper, songwriter, filmmaker and entrepreneur who has built an independent career that reaches well beyond music. A multiple NAACP Image Award winner, he's appeared in the Transformers film franchise, collaborated with Moncler and Reebok, and earned recognition from artists including Pharrell Williams, Beyoncé and Nas. His mission to “make purpose popular” has shaped everything he creates, often alongside his wife, Fat Nwigwe, an artist, performer and creative director who has been instrumental in developing the family's distinctive sound and visual identity. Together with their family, they've built a creative world where music, family and purpose are inseparable.
