This year, two-time GRAMMY® winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Carter Lang continued to shape the sound of modern music with his signature blend of soulful precision and genre-fluid creativity. His long-standing collaboration with SZA reached new heights with SOS Deluxe: LANA, where Lang produced standout tracks “BMF” and “Crybaby.” Building on their GRAMMY®-winning legacy, the project reinforced his reputation as one of the most trusted ears behind SZA’s sound—one that balances vulnerability with power, intimacy with scale. Beyond his work with SZA, Lang’s creative influence stretched across pop, R&B, and alternative music. A Chicago native, Carter Lang began his musical path at age seven on piano before expanding to bass guitar and later studying Music Business at Loyola University New Orleans. His meeting with SZA in 2015 became a turning point—what began as a friendship turned into a defining creative partnership.
