Lawrence’s album, Family Business, feels like both a culmination and a leap forward for the New York–based soul-pop collective. Their fourth studio release, the album radiates the lived-in chemistry of a band that has grown up together, pairing classic pop-soul instincts with a sharp, contemporary edge. From the buoyant, instantly infectious lead single “Whatcha Want” to the groove-rich arrangements that anchor the record, Family Business captures Lawrence at their most confident and expansive. Produced in collaboration with Jon Bellion, the album became the backbone of the band’s biggest headlining tour to date, taking them across Europe, North America, and Australia, and into sold-out rooms at venues like Radio City Music Hall and London’s The Forum.

This chapter has also been marked by major recognition. Lawrence has been propelled into the national spotlight this year, earning a GRAMMY® nomination and further cementing their place in the modern pop-soul conversation. Lawrence has also built a passionate fan community through innovative and engaging video content. Their beloved “acoustic-ish” series — live, one-take reimaginings of their songs featuring expanded vocal arrangements, improvisation, and frequent guest collaborators — has become a hallmark of their artistry. A standout track from their 2025 album, acoustic-ish: an album...ish,Something In The Water (acoustic-ish),” received a GRAMMY® nomination for Best Arrangement, Instruments And Vocals for siblings Clyde and Gracie Lawrence alongside their brother Linus — a nod to the band’s meticulous musicianship and inventive vocal interplay. The accolades arrive as a reflection of both their studio precision and their reputation as a powerhouse live act, honed through years of relentless touring and festival appearances around the world.

At the heart of Lawrence are siblings Clyde and Gracie Lawrence, who began writing songs together in their family’s New York City apartment, inspired by the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Randy Newman, and Aretha Franklin. They officially formed the band with a close-knit group of childhood and college friends, growing into an eight-piece ensemble known for its keyboard-driven grooves, punchy horn lines, and soaring vocals. Beyond the band, both siblings have flourishing careers — Gracie as a Tony-nominated Broadway actress and screen performer, and Clyde as an accomplished composer and producer for film, television, and major artists. Together with their bandmates, Lawrence continues to build a career rooted in collaboration, advocacy for artists’ rights, and a deep belief in the power of music made — and shared — like family.
