Allison Morgan: Making Music Look the Way it Sounds

Meet Supestar Music Photograher, Allison Morgan.

Allison Morgan began her music photography journey in 2015 at a blues concert as just a fan with a camera. An avid listener to all kinds of music while growing up constantly surrounded with the rich sounds emanating from her mother's 8-track player, she became fascinated with how to make a photograph look the way the music feels. That prospect is still the guiding principle that influences her photography today.

Allison's forthcoming photo book showcases the biggest blues artists in the business.

From Allison:

"This book is a collection of the best of all those years of trying to photographically mirror the intensity and beauty of those live moments. It is a showcase of the powerful performances these artists give from the stage night after night. These artists are keeping the blues not only alive but thriving. Their backgrounds are as varied as their styles but their devotion to the blues is steadfast. They are young, they are old, they play guitars, horns, drums, bass, and keys, and they sing until the fans are reaching for tissues at times. Some are new to the scene, some are established, some have taken an offramp from their successful rock and roll careers to come back and make a blues album. So…. What is it about the blues?"

Look for the book end of 2024! 📚
