DONNA DE LORY & JAMES HARRAH

"Sing To The Light" is a sublime soundscape for healing and self-love with Donna De Lory's authentic ethereal voice, which has grown even richer and more powerful with

her own triumphant journey."

- Lili Haydn / Opium Moon

"I am so grateful to have co-created Sing To the Light with my long time musical collaborator and favorite guitarist, James Harrah. I first met James in the mid 1980’s when we were both part of the Laurel Canyon music scene, then later traveled the world together on Madonna’s Who’s That Girl world tour in 1987. Through the years we’ve maintained a strong friendship and musical relationship. The album features master bassist Tony Levin and Venezuelan flutist Pedro Eustache mixed by Kevin Killen and Ben Leinbach.   When James and I started to write this music, I had just been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, so James would send me music that I could write melody and lyrics to while I had treatments, rested, and focused on recovering. This music became my tool for healing. Many of the lyrics seemed to come from my higher voice telling me that all of the love I had around me and the belief and strength that I held within would get me through this great challenge.  When I had the strength, I went into the studio to record my vocals and keyboards. The process of creating this music was life-saving for me.

My intention with this album is to help people connect with their healing power within, find strength by reconnecting with nature, and ultimately to find peace in the uncertainty of life. My father Al De Lory was a multi-Grammy winner and it was always his wish for me to continue on in his footsteps. Receiving this award is a life long dream for me and I am so grateful to you for listening and for your consideration in the category of Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album." - Donna De Lory

LOUISE GOFFIN

“When I write a song, I know that the song is way smarter than I am.

My job is to listen, get out of the way, and be of service to birth something

bigger than who I am in my everyday life."

- Louise Goffin

Brooklyn-born multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Louise Goffin was curious and determined to delve into the world of art at an early age, growing up in an environment that was nothing short of musical. Her songwriting heritage is deeply ingrained. Recognized for her voice in the iconic Gilmore Girls theme, alongside Carole King, she also engages audiences through her podcast “Song Chronicles,” delving into the artistic process. Embracing work-life balance, Goffin’s creativity transcends music, fostering accessibility within her artistic community with introspective and personal recordings, reminiscent of Laurel Canyon-fused artists who came before and is a prolific songwriter.

She made her debut public appearance opening for Jackson Browne at the world-famous Troubadour when she was just 17. Snagging several major-label deals throughout her career, she turned toward becoming an independent artist. “I needed to express my art without a committee and liberate myself from a release schedule alongside 20 other artists.”

In touch with her muse, she empowers a younger generation. She has become more prolific and impactful as an independent artist, consistently upping her songwriting game, production, and vocal delivery.
