From Sandler to Chappelle: 2024’s Must-Watch Netflix Comedy Specials

Netflix hits another homerun with this year’s comedy specials lineup!

Adam Sandler returns to stand-up with a new comedy special directed by Josh Safdie, making his comedy special directorial debut. Adam Sandler: Love You takes the spotlight with his quirky mix of stand-up, music, and his classic charm, and it’s also sprinkled with heartfelt moments about family and life—proving why he’s a fan favorite for all ages.

Dave Chappelle: The Dreamer was shot in Chappelle’s hometown of Washington, DC at the historic Lincoln Theatre. The Dreamer earned two Emmy nominations including Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded). Chappelle, a 5-time GRAMMY winner for Best Comedy Album, turns in another stellar performance with his latest special.

For those who love biting, no-holds-barred comedy, Ricky Gervais: Armageddon is exactly what the doctor ordered. With his usual irreverence, Ricky Gervais dishes out controversial takes on political correctness and oversensitivity in a taboo-busting comedy special about the end of humanity.

Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs is another standout. In a rowdy stand-up set, Shane Gillis riffs on his girlfriend's Navy SEAL ex, touring George Washington's house and being bullied by an Australian Goth.

Taylor Tomlinson: Have It All is perfect for anyone navigating their 20s and 30s. In this highly relatable special, Tomlinson talks dream jobs, finding a perfect partner and dealing with anxiety, while asking the age-old question: "Can you really have it all?"

And finally, Trevor Noah: Where Was I has Noah riffing on national anthems, derailing a German sightseeing tour and getting roasted in Paris in this comedy special about his world travels.
